Does the job (sort of)
This pump gives a good flow of water, but is incredibly noisy compared with the previous pump that I had. Living in a house, I am sure this would not be an issue, but in a flat the noise is not reasonable (if you want to stay on good terms with your neighbours). I have tried everything I can think of to reduce the noise and vibration from this pump. I mounted it on a large wall tile that had wood floor underlay on both sides, and put it in a tray with a rubber mat. Two layers of bitumen based sound proofing on the cold water pipework, covered by two layers of foam acoustic insulation. Hot water pipework has two layers of foam acoustic insulation. I have screwed 2x4 wood pieces to the floor to deaden the noise through the floor and lined the cupboard with wood floor underlay and carpet underlay. The noise still travels through the flat and to the floor below. Have been promised a noise reducing mat to put under the pump, and am hoping that it may help to reduce the noise. I summary OK for a house, but not for a flat.
