Disappointing!
I enjoyed the Binding so was prepared for something different, but I never really got into The Betrayals. I could not understand any of the background concerning the game ( and I am aware that it was probably not expected that I should understand this) but strip this from the book I found the main themes very thin and unconvincing. On the strength of this I would be loathe to buy another Bridget Collins book. Overall very disappointing - I had to force myself to finish it!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not for me.
Terrible. I have abandoned the book after third way through. It is all a maze and nothing explained properly. The Grande Jue was never explained and quite peculiar and I am unsure what time period this is set in? Must be designed for the scholary geniuses, not just fiction lovers.
