Typical superhuman SEAL vs. vast demonic conspiracy and US Govt corruption. but very well done.
Jack Carr is a good writer. Keeps the story moving. I'd say he's a good deal better than Brad Thor or Vince Flynn, on the average. Not to say they are bad, Thor is pretty good, especially his earlier novels. the only quibble I have with the story is this: there is no man on earth who could hit a man at200+ yards with an M1911 pistol ! If Carr was special forces he should have known this. And an M1911 is NOT a suitable gun for defending oneself at against grizzly bears! if he wanted his protagonist to have a handgun in addition to his bow, it should have been at least a .44 Magnum with a long barrel. it would be damned hard to hit a man at 200+ yards with a long barreled .44 Mag, but doing so with a 1911 is , well like doing it with a sllngshot.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
