Its a great Dark Castle film.
Essentially the action takes place mostly on one set, but wow is it a roller coaster ride. Love the actors. I first got to know Tony Shalhoub in MONK. I saw him in MIB of course, but did not know him. After Monk , I went back and looked at his Back Catalogue and he comes up in a huge variety of film and TV works. This haunted house film is a bit more than a genre piece, and some great special effects. Some puns as well , but you should get those. This is a great scary, silly, fun movie. For it's age, the special effects stand up really well. It generates good suspense and scare factor, despite a very silly story line and average acting overall.
