A double MOBO & Jazz FM Award winner, Boyd's live and studio collaborations have been as varied as they have been prolific, from touring with Sampha & Kelsey Lu, to drumming on Sons of Kemet's Mercury-nominated album, to his recent collaboration with South African Gqom king DJ Lag, which made its way onto Beyonce's official soundtrack for The Lion King. He produced Zara McFarlane's 2017 full-length, Arise, in its entirety, and released several acclaimed solo projects.

Reviews"‘Stranger than Fiction’ is probably the closest we’ll get to hearing inside Boyd’s head. It’s all there: intricate drumming, guttural basslines and grime swagger, with raspy horns for good measure.", 4 stars out of 5 -- "The album draws on such a melting-pot of genres and styles where complex jazz rhythms sit alongside electronica, dance, rock, grime and pop.", "Dark Matter Expertly Combined Fiery Live Takes with Programmed Beats and Synthy Atmospherics."
Additional InformationA debut that represents everything great about jazz eclecticism. Cool, relevant, and vital in combining the strands of disparate musical communities.
I was impressed with Moses when he appeared on 'Later with Jools', however I was disappointed with the amount of drum machine on this album, considering what a great drummer he is. The only upside for mme is that I'm glad I bought the cd and didn't fork out for the vinyl version. Not a bad album, just not to my taste.
