Tin opener
I'm not sure what to write as a review of this item. It's the old fashioned army rationpack style tin opener. I wanted one for my EDC kit. The tin opener seems sturdy enough, and is small enough not to notice in your pocket or pack. They probably arn't the quickest or easiest way to open a tin but they do the job. Note if you haven't used one before watch a video on how they work, it's not obvious looking at it how to use it, easy enough once you know though.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

not nearly as good as my original opener
This opener was purchased to replace my original which had done years of sterling service opening many tins; but unfortunalely had been stolen. I was very dissapointed to find that this replacement failed after only opening 3 cans due to poor quality materials and was in no way comparable to my original ex military one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Needs a bit of a tweak
It would help if the edges where it is held were rounded of a little for comfort. otherwise a close copy of the MoD issue item but good to have when your goochie newfangled tin opener fails and very good for the price I just hope its not from China! oh I think a small file will sort the edges out otherwise a nice productVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mini can spanner
Well used already, I have even one in my wallet, and one on my car keys....The item i grew to love in the army, and glad it could be replaced when my others were retired,,,fits in the hand ergonomically, nice and sharp, compact. a tin opener for life
i grew up using this tin opener, as a child of military background I still have the original one that my dad had when he was deployed to Iraq , you can open tins ,bottles,strip wood ,open foil packets, you can carry it on your key ring, just place a small piece of tape over the blade so that you don't get cut , its lightweight and you may find it extremely useful for other things as wellVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
