Seems to work
This is a water-based proofer and the "how to use" suggests applying it to wet leather. This works (and of course is handy if you've been out in the rain or snow); the resulting thin coating of product seems to do the job. Don't neglect the bit of the instructions that tells you to wipe it off before it dries because if you let it stay it's streaky-white and hard to shift. First of all you need to follow the instructions. This has been used to protect a new (reasonably expensive) leather hand bag. It was applied and buffed off as per instructions, left to dry and has left an invisible protective layer. I have used 3 or 4 Nikwax products now and all have performed brilliantly.
