Maca 4 - Lindens 5
I like Maca and I will continue taking it as I believe it sharpens my mental functions. I give Maca itself a rating of only 4 stars because I'm not up to doing a clinical trial to PROVE its value. I think my mathematical skills and memory have improved since taking it.......(I don't think it's my imagination and I'm not aware of anything else new that I did around the time of starting to take it...... but it's impossible to rule out all the other influences in life and without testing you cannot be sure.) Therefore, I prefer to err on the side of scientific caution, if you like, and remain at a 4 star rating rather than 5. Given the overall 4 stars for Maca as a "wonder drug", I would give this particular brand of Maca, 5 stars as it is cost effective and neatly packaged. The tablets are neutral in colour with a streamlined shape and smooth outer texture which makes them easy to swallow. Caused Anxiety, paranoia and Insomnia
I bought this Maca Root to help with menopause symptoms etc unfortunately it caused anxiety, paranoia and insomnia. I realized after 2 weeks what was going on and as soon as I stopped taking it the symptoms disappeared completely. A shame because it was very helpful in other ways.
