Latest but not the best.
In my opinion it was not as good as previous books. I also did not like the fact that it went back in time, so brought into focus Jack’s past life rather than following g on with Jack’s life so far. Strange that his brother is still alive and that he is still an MP! Bit disappointing as I am a huge fan.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Reacher's great but the stories are starting to suffer.
I'm a big Reacher fan and whilst I still enjoy the books, I feel the end is near. Sorry to say that Lee Child, in my opinion, has fallen into a writing formula. I think its very common with many highly successful authors. They start off working at their creation and characters and develop a compelling hero or anti hero and great stories. But there comes a time when they are so familiar with their character and craft that they develop a conveyor belt mentality and the stories start to become products to be churned out production line. Another example of this is James Patterson's Alex Cross books. Wonderful compelling novels at the start but now the quality has declined. I'm sure Patterson and Child will continue to sell etc. Every chance I'll buy their work but.....Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
