Great trimmer
I'm impressed with this hedge trimmer. I had an over grown hedge that had been without a tidy for a while because I was trying to get my old one fixed. Gave up in the end and bought this. It managed it really well. Got stuck on a couple of much thicker branches that appeared but got though them with more care and patience on my part. It's easy to use and not too heavy. I have a problem these days with holding things and weight but I did my hedge without having to stop for my hands/arms to have a rest. Battry life poor. Battery dead already only after 9 uses.
Used 9 times, initially I thought what a great little hedge cutter but the battery life got less and less and now we are on 5 mins used before i have to re charge it. The battery is no good.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fabulous product
Much better than expected. Really easy to use and just glides through foliage without the worry or inconvenience of constantly checking where the cable is. The handle arrangement is spot on and the machine is really comfortable in either hand. Ice and lightweight too. Not as powerful as a corded machine, so not really suitable for thick branches such as laurel, but perfect for yew/privet etc. Haven’t tested battery longevity yet but, on my first go, it lasted for ages with no sign of running out of power. Good value, convenient, lightweight with fast recharge.
Used only once so far to trim about 20 metres of privet hedge. Trimmer is light in weight, relatively quiet and so much more convenient than trailing a long extension cable around behind my mains trimmer. Appeared to have plenty of charge left when finished and took about 50 mins to fully re-charge ready for next time. Better than expected.
As a time served craftsman gardener, I tend to know a good tool from a bad one. I was wary about this cordless trimmer. The reviews looked OK but the low price worried me. Yes. I like a bargain, but at the same time, I didn't want to buy a turkey. First things first. 2 year guarantee and I've only thus far, used the trimmer for an hour, but I can tell you it's money well spent. It's got a longer blade than I imagined, but that's good because the trimmer isn't heavy. At the same time, the build quality is good. Remember to oil the blade before use and oil again after as this will prolong the sharpness of the blade and trimmer motor. Don't use WD40. it's a penetrant, not a lubricant. Use light spray oil by all means, or a small paintbrush and grease. The cut was very good, much better than I imagined. It won't cut tree branches, or anything too thick, but generally, it trims very well, most things. I bought 2 batteries. buy 2 batteries yourself. I used the first battery for 40 mins and it was still doing well. I changed batteries anyway and did a further 20 mins. Well pleased with the results. Make sure you charge both batteries to the maximum before you put the trimmer away. These batteries are best stored full. Don't forget.
