  • Small psu for a small case

I have built a PC for media, using a Kolink Satellite case. The Seasonic psu is only 14cm long, so takes up very little space. The cables aren't sleeved, but that made them easier to manipulate, creating good airspace for cooling. It is also quiet.Altogether, this psu was exactly what I required.

  • Well built desktop PSU

Standard ATX 12v power supply with 20 + 4 pin and 4 pin cables, 4 SATA, 4 Molex, 1 floppy and a quiet 5 inch fan. Plenty long cables. A few years old now but voltages on all 3 rails still close to spec, acceptable continuing performance.

  • Understated quality

Nothing flashy, just solid and great value. Not a gaming PC but I did power a graphics card with it, no problem. I suspect it's over engineered. I seek out these SeaSonic PSUs, they do some super high end gear too.

  • Better than the cheapest. Could be improved.

What Seasonic marketing call 'Active Power Factor Correction' is in fact square wave. Whilst an improvement on the usual AC uglywave of spikes drawn by an ATX, this is not ideal.

  • Good, but ....

This PSU seems good value and quiet. The ones I have bought have been reliable. However, the range of connectors and the length of their leads are different every time. Beware.
