Never tried this product before, so gave it a try. Very surprised. On a tough three day growth of beard, used as specified, with a one week old five blade Gillette razor cartridge, I was left with a very close shave and smooth facial skin. The wet shave was altogether much closer than normal. The cream was additionally suited well to an aftershave balm, and dealt with a couple of sore patches under the chin I sometimes experience after a wet shave on a tough growth of beard. Worth a try
I have only recently returned to DE safety razor shaving after many years of cartridge razors. I have not used pre shave creams before so have nothing to compare it with. I think it gives a smoother shave and helps reduce nicks although this may just be because I am getting better at handling a DE razor again. It has a strong scent and gives a mild tingling sensation.
