Equipped with a silent USM auto-focus motor and UD elements, the 300mm f/4 IS produces excellent result every time. Great Canon 300mm lens
Very clean lens with sharp fast focus. The image stabalisatiion is only 1 to 2 stops help so being a long lens I use a tripod normally without stabilisation switched on. Very nice lens and a smooth journey from Japan.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great value Used
This lens was purchased after searching for a used Canon EF 400mm F5.4 L USM lens I just couldn't find one at the right price, after reading so many positive review on this lens I decide to go for it. I am pleased to say that the reviews were spot on a very nice lens to use and very sharp doesn't have the reach of the 400 mm but for wildlife you tend to crop anyway and after cropping is just as sharp. I also use it in conjunction with a Kenko 1.4X Teleconverter on my Canon 7D, it looses a bit of IQ but it is still acceptable, the I.S is a little clunky but all Canon L lenses are that way In conclusion this is a great lens if you get a good one used at the right price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
