I had to replace my old mobile as I was changing service provider and my old phone could not be unlocked. I chose this one as my son already had one so I could see what it was like. Likes - I can keep all my regular use numbers on the opening screen, bright easily read screen, touch screen so no keys, reasonable battery life of about 4 days standby, it can carry my best music as well with additional micro SD card, 5 megapixel camera takes good photos and video. Dislikes - rather small touch keys for my fingers, some of the menus can be a bit obscure, the manual is very basic and does not cover all the features, loading of music, games, apps etc. has to be done through the LG software programme which is hardly intuitive.
I bought this phone because I've had lg phones in the past and been very happy with them, this phone is just as reliable the battery life is good as long as you're not on the internet all the time. It is great for downloading pictures from the phone directly to facebook and the touch screen is very responsive. I'd recommend you buy a protector for the screen and silicone case which protects the phone in your bag. All in all it is easy to use. I would recommend this phone if you can't quite afford to splash out on a smartphone.
Given the fact that I have never had a touch screen mobile before I was quite immpressed with the LG Viewty GM360. I bought it because my last mobile was dropped on the floor and now lives in the dustbin. What I like about this mobile is it has a power save and are no buttons to press when in your pocket, which helps by not making anonymous calls. I found it easy to navigate the menus after a coupls of days getting used to the touch screen, you do'nt need a heavy touch, especially with the scroll bar at the side. I like the Email facilty and it is quite cheap to retrieve your emails and read them, but I would like to see LG provide this service for free as a good will gesture to customers buying this mobile. Havent tried the browser given the size of the screen I prefer to surf on the PC, I could live without using the browser. It has Bluetooth capability for tranfering your pictures from PC to mobile, very easy to operate but I would have preferred WIFI. What I don't like about this mobile is you cant erase the sounds or pictures that come with it, which is a pity but something I could live with. The camera is reasonable and easy to use but needs a steady hand for sure. Not too impressed with FM radio but perhaps thats nitpicking on my part. Overall this mobile is really good and easy to use. For the price it lets you get on the bottom rung of touch screen mobiles. All in all I would give it 9 out of Ten and would recommend it.Read full review
I needed to change from my old nokia which I had for four years and was very happy with. Unfortunately, due to arthritis I had to find one easier on the touch. I researched first prices, and reviews by other owners, and then decided on the LG Viewty snap firstly because of the price, and then on the easiness of use. Text messages are easily worked out, and I like the large keyboard display. It is lightweight and not too big (I found other touch screens too large and heavy). I am not a gadget person, but found texting, adding contacts, favourite numbers etc all quite easy to do. The one thing I would say is that I bought a stylus (easily available on ebay and shops and really cheap)which I find easier to use than my fingers. There is no loop on the side of the phone to attach this, but my husband put it underneath the battery and it stays there quite safely.# The volume is good, which is a plus if you have a hearing impairement (as I do), and ideal for mature people (such as me) who have arthritis. very happy with my purchaseRead full review
I purchased this phone to replace my old nokia 6301i,it needed charging up every three days. LG and other sellers say the GM360 should last 500 hours on standby and 5 hours talk time. The phone i bought only last's on standby for 24 hours even on screen saver. I have paid for the phone to be debranded and this has made no difference to the standby time. The seller says 24 hours is average for this type of phone and has offered me my money back less postage, which means i will be out of pocket roughly £25.So i will sell it on to cut my losses Someone is right at 500 hours stand-by. Someone else is right????at 24 hours on stand-by TAKE YOUR CHOICE I BOUGHT IT FOR LONGER STAND-BY TIME THE PHONE IS SUPERB THE BATTEY LIFE ON THIS PHONE IS NOT WHAT IT SHOULD BE IAM GOING BACK TO MY NOKIA
