works for me even if it comes up a little short
While the design is somewhat modified from my old one, it still is what I needed to fit the short space I have between counter top and the cabinet above. The pot is more challenging to clean because of the sweeping design at the top and the lid is still always attached which means hand washing only. To get a good full pot of coffee, use the aroma setting which will take about 20 minutes to get there; regular setting is about half as long. My unit was not new, but I assume a floor model or display. It was clean and had no blemishes and was well packed, but did not come with the factory supplied measuring spoon or gold filter or instructions and warenty card. Fast and easy to use
Brews very quickly. Very easy to add water and it has a permafilter to boot! You can use regular paper filters, but why? The only thing I am disappointed in is the display screen. Best Coffeemaker Ever!
I had one of these for over 5 years, used every day and it has brewed hundreds and hundreds of carafes of perfect coffee. It finally gave up last week so I'm replacing it with the same exact model. It's the ONLY coffeemaker that fits under the counter, you never have to move it to fill the water reservoir and when the carafe is empty and still warm, you can set it on the top pad, under the cabinet! Easy to set up the night before and a breeze to clean (my old one still looks new). The only con would be that it's difficult to see the water level, I have overfilled it several times via the faucet hose but other than that I hope DeLonghi never stops making this model, it's awesome!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wonderful coffee maker.
The front access to coffee basket and to add the water is the best feature of all. There is no spilling of water. The coffee pot itself is exceptionally made with no dripping when pouring a cup of coffee.
