Look at alternatives first!
Definitely showing its age as technology has moved on, photo quality from the unit is passable, certainly nothing to get excited about. If you need a photo printer, portable or otherwise I would recommend looking elsewhere. This Samsung is terribly slow and the thermal ribbon cartridges are phenomenally expensive.
