About this product

Product Information

Author Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy winds to a close with THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNET'S NEST, director Daniel Alfredson's adaptation of the best-selling novel following punky protagonist Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) as she fights to prove that she's innocent of committing multiple murders. As Lisbeth lies in intensive care, the corrupt officials in high office attempt to take advantage of her incapacitated state by accusing her of murder. But fiercely independent Lisbeth isn't about to play the scapegoat, and the more her accusers work to ruin her life, the harder she and her loyal friend Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) must push back to prove them wrong.

    "Millenium III"

This is the 3rd and final film of the Millenium trilogy, in Swedish with British subtitles. You need to have read all three books to understand what is going on, so bear that in mind! It follows the book very closely and tells the story brilliantly. Really good - but read the books first!

  • Most critical review

Poor dubbing and lack of consistency

This film is such a let down. Unless you understand Swedish or don't mind watching a film with subtitles, the English dubbed version is a horror show. I can only guess that the dubbing effort was done on a wet Tuesday afternoon when the sound engineers were bladderated and wanted to finish early. If I could rate it below 1 I would. Also, the fact that the film introduces completely different actors playing the same characters we got to know in the first film is very disconcerting. I could live with one different actor, but when it's all the key characters, you may as well not bother watch the girl with a dragon tattoo. Watching it first, then this will disappoint. I wish I hadn't bothered.

  • Intriguing final chapter

When I read the book in this trilogy I was almost disappointed as I didn't want the whole thing to end such was my enjoyment. The film is as good as one can expect of this type of story which had so many facets and intrigues and it tied up the loose ends well. I can only recommend this as the end of a marvellous set. I hope you've watched them all.
