Timeless Quality Entertainment.
Ground breaking sci-fi film , ahead of its’ time - even if the war machines hovered rather than walked on a tripod arrangement as HG Wells describes. Actress Ann Robinson’s commentary contribution is one of the more interesting such ‘special features’ extras on dvd’s, as is the inclusion of the 1939 Orson Welles radio broadcast, which caused widespread panic in many US towns and cities where listeners missed the beginning of the programme.
