Even with the great Sean Bean in this, plus Sam Claflin, I found it to be bland/boring/flat. Only one animal in it (the sleeve makes it sound like there's lots to see) and how can a yellow powder instantly cure a fatal, quick acting virus, seconds after being applied to the nose of the victim? Glad this was a cheap DVD, I didn't waste too much money.

This film delivers a very realistic pre-hystoric vision of an apocolyptic future. The surviving masses are reduced to living as small tribes in huts, hunting for their daily food. Our story centers around a group of young individuals who question the existence of this vengeful god and the values of their indoctrinated elders. After an attack on their village, by mutants infected by an ancient manmade disease, they must leave to try and find others to help those loved ones left behind trapped in a cave. Leading the survivors of the attack is the excellent Sean Bean as Amal. He has watched over the group from a distance for a long time, his mission to protect them at all cost. After the attack he rescues the survivors and tells them of the cure for the mutant disease, which is a yellow powder that needs to be given before the mutation takes hold. It comes with a high price as what was left was stolen by another protector like himself. Caleb, our hero, is the son of the man who found the cure. He learns that his father was murdered by the man who took the cure. What then follows is a rollercoaster ride of action that takes us to the heart of human nature and back. Can the cure be found in time. Will Caleb be able to carry on his fathers work.Read full review
Typical post apocyliptic film with a strange virus, survivors, religious fanatics and the city that survived. Not the greatest film ever made, but entertaining never the less. I just bought it because it was Sean Bean, and he gets to ride a horse. Don't expect Oscar winning performance, but it is watchable.
Really good film . post acopliz speeling lol . Worth watchin twice
