With the sheriff out of town, a lynch mob is formed under the leadership of Major Tetley (Frank Conroy), a former Confederate officer who hopes to recapture past glories.

  • Sad western

This isn’t cowboys and Indians or gun fights at dawn or bank robbery. There’s no action. It’s a town taking the law into their own hands while the sherif is away and hanging three men for murder of a important man and cattle rustling. He turns out to be alive and sold them the cattle and they all have to live with the shame of what they did. It’s more 12 Angry Men character study on human prejudice.
