I bought the DVD, because I could not manage to see the movie in Cinema and wanted to see it. The movie is good, even if the story doesn't really belong to the book. What I like on the movie is the visualization of it and in my view it rescues the story. The story is the part I think should be more based on the novel. The star John Smith is a boy who doesn't even know that he has gifts, nor does he know were there from and the gift of being immune against fire, D.J. Caruso gave it to number six. So all in one John Smith has just a bit light and can damage glass and the most of the story is turned up site down. I didn't expect to much so all in one its a film for everyone who likes fantasy. Compared to other DVD it is good for a rainy day at home with a bowl full of popcorn, it's a typical cinema entertaining movie.Read full review
I wish they had made a follow up film

This should lead into a series of films, as there are several books available. Great casting, a great engaging movie, very exciting, a bit of a teen flick, which I enjoyed.
