Product Information
Created by SIX FEET UNDER's Alan Ball, TRUE BLOOD is based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries novels by Charlaine Harris, a series set in a world where vampires have just begun to 'come out' after a synthetic blood substitute called True Blood is introduced. Oscar winner Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress living in Bon Temps, Louisiana, who falls hard for Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), a Civil War veteran and vampire. But their romantic romps aren't the only draw for the series: the existence between humans and vampires is an uneasy one, and people are dying. Series three sees the introduction of werewolves into the show's mythology. Russell Edgington, the Vampire King of Mississippi, and Franklin Mott, his private investigator also join the original cast. Jason has a new love interest and Sookie's heritage is revealed as the series unravels. Includes all 12 episodes from the third series.Product Identifiers

Series three sees the introduction of werewolves into the show's mythology. Russell Edgington, the Vampire King of Mississippi, and Franklin Mott, his private investigator also join the original cast. ReviewsVariety - Whatever its chemistry, the show surely knows how to go for the throat. And like its mythical night-prowlers, once Blood sucks you in, its attraction is awfully difficult to resist., USA Today - True Blood is worth the work, particularly since the main plot (Sookie's search for her kidnapped vampire lover Bill) is pretty much a self-starter., Entertainment Weekly - True Blood is, if anything, faster, sleeker, more vicious, more fun that it already was. Yum-yum., Chicago Sun-Times - There's just nothing else on TV with this level of jubilant satire.
