Ah! The olden days...
Very pleasant viewing generally but also a valuable source of useful information for those of us lucky enough to live in pre 20th century dwellings. I’ve always disliked using cement for repairs and am now a fully functional lime mortar disciple. The enthusiasm of all the principles is infectious and the series does rather reinforce the view of us nostalgics that the immediate pre-Great war period was a halcyon time, which it very likely wasn’t for small tenant farmers such as these. For me, Edwardian Farm is the best of the collection but I haven’t been able to resist buying Victorian Farm and the less well known but extraordinary Secrets of the Castle as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
