Having made the decision to shun the criminal fraternity in favour of going straight, his newfound optimism and sense of what's right lead him to a job working as a minder for reclusive actress Charlotte (Knightley). For the first time in ages it seems that Mitchell's life is going in the right direction but it's not long before a figure-- underworld boss Gant (Winstone)--from his shady past returns to interfere with what could be a bright future.
