Sony Handycam DCR-SR30E is equipped with 30GB hard disk, which gives it recording times from 20 hours 50 minutes in Long Play mode (3 Mbps) to 10 hours 50 minutes in Standard Play (6Mbps). Even in the High Quality 9Mbps mode, the cameras can record for a full 7 hours and 20 minutes.When you want to download content from the camera to a PC, the bundled Handycam Station comes into its own. The Station connects to the PC via USB 2.0, providing a high-speed downlink, which activates once the camcorder is seated in place. If desired, a single press of the One Touch DVD Burn button on the side of the station begins a completely automatic download-and-burn process. It really is that simple.To ensure your recordings are safe, the hard disk itself is multiply protected by the Sony HDD Smart Protection System. As you would expect, the first layer of defense against accident consists of specially designed physical shock absorbers, but there is much more. The 3G sensor can detect the sudden acceleration of a fall and instantly auto-park its heads, preventing them or the platters from being damaged by the impact. Better still, if you are filming at the time the camera will buffer the video stream until the drive is stable and operational again before writing the stored data to disk. Only works with one type of battery
Item is idea for the intended use but one drawback is it only takes Sony pattern batteries it will not accept genetic battery's. Even thou they fit...If u wish for a longer lasting battery they come at a price.as it has to be Sony and a certain type.apart from that it's perfect 😁Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
