My own iPhone had been stolen and I needed a replacement quickly as my iPhone is vital for Calendar/Contacts etc. (Am due for an upgrade but am waiting for the iPhone 5.) I bought this used Apple iPhone 3GS - 32Gb from eBay for a reasonable price of UKL160.00, but although advertised as refurbished it was very scruffy with the back scratched so badly that the Apple logo had nearly disappeared. I solved this by buying a black rubber cover which obscured the whole back for ULK13.00. The battery started failing immediately when the charge was showing about 50 percent so I took the phone to the Applestore (Covent Garden) where they offered to replace the battery for UKL40.00 or the complete phone for UKL55.00 which I accepted. So I have a new phone for UKL215 which about the price of other 32Gb iPhones on eBay. (Also bought a kit for UKL13.00 to replace the battery myself in case an early Applestore was not possible.) I later found a friend had a spare iPhone 3 GS after an upgrade to iPhone 4. So in future I shall not buy a used iPhone from eBay but shall try to find a spare ex upgrade iPhone to be replaced by Apple if that offer still exists.Read full review
Find this phone great was excactly what was needed. Had to find a quick and good quality replacement for a lost phone (didn't have insurance on it - bad move). It has access to all the apps I wanted, has ease of use and found it an easier to use touch phone than my previous ones. Alround great phone
bought this to replace a 16gb version of the same phone.i was always sceptical about iphones till i bought the first one,now i'd never go back,its linked up to the pc via i tunes and with a few good apps both paid for and free ones i now use it for the obvious phone calls and texts as catch up tv,surfing via wifi and as a replacement for my mp3 player.battery life is not brilliant and the golden rule i have found is only switch on the wifi when you're going to use it,if you leave it permenantly switched it your battery life is a lot shorter
Seems to be a good little phone. I only want it as storage for a small sterile system. I think it'll do the job well

This is just about the best piece of kit you can imagine. Everyone goes on about the iPhone 4 .... And of course the 5 will be out soon.... But .... There seems to be a few probs with the 4. A couple of friends say it keeps cutting out on calls ... Pretty bad for what is essentially a phone! No problems with the 3GS and I have every CD in my collection put on the iPod! It's like having a phone, a camera, an iPod and a laptop with you all the time! I'm sure the camera on the 4 is better and the 5 will be even better again but in rhe meantime ... IF IT WORKS, DON'T MEND IT!!
