The unit powers up and turns on as normal. It was in great working order last time it was used. I have managed to find the original manual however no remote to go with it.

Good "old style" DAB
Remember that this DAB is over ten years old, so the display is green screen dot digital not a HD colour screen. You also need a strong signal source as I suspect the receiver is not as good as modern day ones. However, if you want a decent sounding, well made DAB radio then this product continues to give modern day DABs a run for their money.

Performance of DAB 500 remote
This remote has a very narrow beam and has to be directed` exactly on the sensor, it cannot be bounced from surrounding surfaces, therefore that necessitates getting out of chair to direct beam due to position of tuner. As these remotes are impossible to obtain I accept the minor irritation. Henry.
