Who would think you had to learn a volume control?
Everything I read made me think this pedal would not affect tone. It does - until you get the balance between your instrument "IN" level and the sensitivity of your amplifier balanced right. Worth the effort, though. Build quality is excellent & what adjustments there are can be made easily. I have used it on a 2 hour gig with battery power only with no problems but will feel happier using it as part of the power train on my pedal board. My only slight criticism of this used one was that it had a couple of the rubber non-slip feet missing. Easily replaced though.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
