I Don't Go Without It!!
Have been taking (2) 5,000 I.U. softgels a day for several years. My body needs at least 10,000 I.U. to function optimally. The RDA of 800 I.U. is the bare minimum needed to avoid problems. Most people need much more than that, and it takes on average 3 hours in the sun with large swaths of skin exposed to even absorb 1,000 I.U. So getting Vitamin D from the sun alone is not feasible. These are easy to take and definitely help with depression and moodiness from low Vitamin D and that related to Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
