Sounds like a new higher end tonearm.
This damper made my SME S2 Improved sound like a whole new tone arm. The bass was very detailed and it cut down on a surface noise I was having. I am using a Technics SL1200 MK2 which I have did evey mod available to it. The cartridge is a Lyra Delos. The value for what you pay and what you get is if you want the most out of your tonearm you will pay. The fact is these kits are rare and very few people who have them are willing to sell them. So if you want to play ya got to pay. Very happy with the sound.

A useful adjunct to a very high quality product
SME tone arms have a very good reputation, however to get even better quality sounds, the addition of a damper kit is well worth the money. this kit ia a rare example inasmuch as it comes complete and in the original packaging. I was lucky to see it and purchase it.

Fitting of SME fluid damper kit FD 2000
Work in good ljghgjng. Imperial allen keys please Slacken top allen screw beneath counterweight. Swing arm out the way. Remove bias weight. Remove circlip on dashpot lever. Remove and fit new lever. Remove and fit new arm rest. Fit trough. Cit paddle Add fluid and fit top to trough
