Didn't work for me
I purchased this for my VW Sharan...the key blade has different size hole center's to mine so my original key would not fit in this holder, so you would need to have the key blank provided cut to use the item. I also found the board from my old remote whilst it fitted did not fit too well and using the remote as a result was hit and miss... Not as easy as you think
Bought as a donor when the original key snapped off at the hinge, intending to swap the key blade and electronics into the new shell. Spent a couple of hours in a workshop trying to accomplish this but it seems it’s impossible without destroying the key. Great for spare parts

Cannot be re-coded to start the vehicle. Only programmed to lock and unlock. Immobiliser chip is hard soldered so cannot replace.
