A candidate for a “RE”boot ?
The model is a standard issue of diecast body and plastic fittings painted in the tilling red and cream livery used before NBC red. Several details are printed on to the body and would be lost if bought as a donor model for a project. The livery does, however, allow for a renaming by changing the fleet names, destinations and legal lettering using any of the water slide transfers available. Issued in 02/99 the model has the earlier flat front used before the more curved windscreen became available and as an early EFE release does not have mirrors fitted. The curved windscreen model became available in 02/11 as cat no 25107 and in 04/12 a coach seated interior became available as cat no 29410 . This issue is not in the red & white dual purpose but in full coach white ! Overall it is a good representation of a vehicle regarded as the best of the bunch of single deckers introduced in the 1960 s. One variant not available is a dual door one which EFE may have been working on.
