A Cost Saver and a Great Modem too
I, like many others, had been on auto-pilot with AT&T U-verse, un-wittingly paying $7.00 per month modem rent for 3 years ($252.00), until an incident caused me to actually pay attention to what I was being billed for. After looking into things and Realizing that i could use my own modem, I found and purchased this modem, the exact same model that I had been renting, brand new, for less than $30.00 including shipping! It arrived in 2 days, I unplugged the rented modem, plugged in my own and was off to the races "RENT FREE!" It works like a charm with NO issues what-so-ever! I sent the rented ATT/U-verse modem back free of charge at a nearby UPS store and was done. Any router purchased was not allowed to be used by AT&T U-verse internet service.
