This is one of the best remote's from logitech, simple to use and operate. All the buttons work on all my equipment added to this. The set up needs a pc or mac to your devices and setup any activities you want to use, ie tuen on TV and Sky box and set the TV out put used to watch sky. Even though this is now an old'ish remote it still just works.

I've been using the Harmony One for about 3 weeks now and I've yet to get it configured just right. The good news is, it's because of my learning curve and not the remote. The difficulty I'm having is due to some of the functions on my devices being labeled differently in the Harmony than on the device itself. For example, Audio 1 input on my Receiver might be Auxiliary on the Harmony. I loaded the device from the Harmony website but I guess it's not perfect. I've been getting it right with some trial and error. Other than that, this thing will do pretty much anything you'd want out of a remote. If you can think of it, chances are you can customize it and program it in the Harmony One. The slide show if a fun little feature they've thrown in as well. Gets a lot of comments when I put it back in the base.Read full review
Pros: Very attractive, very easy to use. With just a little effort using the relatively easy computer software to program the remote, this incredible device empowered my technophobic wife to use our two different home theater setups. Being able to load TV network icons into the remote so they show on the screen and allow direct access to favorite channels is a very cool thing. All of my devices were in the Logitech database, including my Monoprice HDMI switcher, so the intial basic setup of the remote was as simple as entering the brand and model numbers and answering a few questions. Even my cable box/DVR worked immediately and flawlessly. The HELP button on the remote solves most problems easily. I like the feel of the raised buttons on the Harmony One better than the "mushy" ones on the Harmony 550. The One comes with a rechargeable battery and a charging cradle. The 550 uses regular batteries which have to be replaced periodically. The 550 is a great remote, but if you can spring for the extra cost, the Harmony One will make you happy every time you use it. Cons: The shiny black finish collects fingerprints and requires frequent wiping. The programming software has been simplified a bit too much, to the point that it's not always easy to figure out how to set something up the way you want. Accessing some of the button commands in the computer software to configure the buttons for the remote screen is not as intuitive as it could be. I was surprised that there were not more TV network icons available from the Logitech website and was a bit frustrated to have to spend time creating my own icons in the proper 75X44 pixel size, something not everyone will have the software, knowledge or patience to do. No RF or Bluetooth support, although I believe there may be an optional RF solution. Summary: One of those rare devices that does nearly everything it's supposed to even better than you expect. The few minor frustrations are far outweighed by the truly awesome convenience and simplicity of operating your system with this powerful controller. Buy one for every multi-box setup in your home and you'll smile every time you power a system up!Read full review
After using and programming Philips Prontos for the last couple of years, I decided I wanted something easier to set up and manage the next time I upgraded my AV components. CNET.com pointed me to the Logitech Harmony One. It has more than fulfilled my expectations. Setting it up to work with my existing AV equipment took just about 30 minutes. It was smart and fast and easy. This is a great device.
