Its difficult to know what to say about leica lenses that hasn't already been said. I use this lens with R7 and R6 bodies, it performs spectacularly well with both. The images are sharp with good colour rendition, as with all macro lenses you need to pay careful attention to depth of field. Its a solid bit of kit, not light in weight, but the feel of it is confidence building, For me it is best used from a tripod/stand for macro work. The infinity focus means you can sub it for a standard lens (50/55 mm) so long as you're not desperate for low light capability. Not a lens I would willingly do without.
This lens and it's 1:1macro adapter (lens is 1:2 without it) were in lovely condition. Not only does it capture great macro images both with and without the adapter, but 60mm on my 1.3 factor sensor camera is also good for general use. Leica R lenses have a wonderfully high build quality and the broken on this lens is fantastic.
It can be used (with adapters) on DSLRs like Canon as well as on mirrorless cameras like Sony NEX. Superb image quality, fabulous colours, immense detail, from very close up all the way to infinity, it is as useful for macro as it is for landscape or cityscape and portrait.
