The fast-action locks and a convenient 75 mm receiver of this aluminum tripod enable rapid setup and leveling. This Manfrotto tripod also comes with a 501HDV Pro Video Head and 75 mm half-ball. Used along with the included ground-level spreader, delicate floor surfaces are protected from the spiked feet of the Manfrotto 525MVB, which are normally used in soft, unstable footings. Heavy duty quality tripod.
It is a very heavy duty quality tripod. It is somewhat awkward to setup, large and heavy, which makes it not very portable. The cam locks on the legs are quite tight and require a little effort. That said, if you want strength and stability then it could not be better. I bought it to use with a spotting scope. It would take a very strong wind to blow it over which you would not want to happen if you have an expensive piece of equipment mounted on it.
