I am relatively new to iPad. I own an iPhone and an iMac, so I needed to something which allowed me to backup my apps while using Wi-Fi for internet browsing. I am really impressed with the Ipad. It has great features and a lot of memory. Likes: * Long Battery Life up to 10 hours use on a single charge. (depending on application used). * I was able to use the same apps on my iPhone/Imac on this device. * Very user friendly. * Quick to navigate through the menus. * Connects to Wi-Fi instantly for quick internet browsing. * Exceptional sound quality. * No waiting for a PC/Mac to boot up, Instant use. * Clear graphics. I purchased a Blue-tooth keyboard and Head phones to pair with this device and it worked with ease allowing me to do word processing and listen to music at the same time. Dislikes: * Some videos couldn't play on this device. (but that's just Apple) * No Camera so I couldn't take pictures, I had to use my iPhone instead. * Takes the Micro Simm card rather than the usual size which makes it awkward. * Pricey but then most apple products are. My opinion Overall very impressed. When I get more used to it, I will then buy the latest one. I highly recommend an iPad if you can afford one, go for it. There many tablets out there, but this one is perfect for me as a starter device.Read full review
I brought this item for my dad to watch films ,and read books. as avid apple buyer, knowing how user friendly apple products are I knew this was ideal. I liked the big memory easy to use, ipad and clear big screen, as he only needed basic ipad this fit all the criteria. The one downfall I would say is that the 1 generation ipad has slower Internet when out and about, as well as other features above this. but if first time buyer need more than kindle fire only very slightly more in price the ipad beats it hand down in every way. apps , iBooks , camera and more than you would want would make this ideal. I have a ipad 3 which was double the price and better in many ways but price reflects this.
Great product which I use for my work. It saves me carrying Catalogues, and not pads on site This does all I need and more iPad 3 ok for what I need one day may upgrade to new one with camera. Still a little expensive when you think what you can buy a laptop for. Apple is great but they should make more readily available price wise to all, sure they would sell as many systems as Microsoft. APLLE HOPE YOU TAKE NOTICE OF MY COMMENTS. NOT THAT THEY WILL READ THEM
Never wanted one until my Husband visited a friend who had one. He came home full of enthusiasm about it telling me about the astrology app installed (I'm a true fan of astrology) and the F1 apps available. From then on I had to have one. Never looked back - I treat it as a laptop. Easy to use and understand. I love being able to take it anywhere and it will be especially be handy in the remote parts of Scotland we visit on a regular basis. I would recommend to anyone and would certainly buy again.
This is a good substitute to the latest version of the iPad, I was looking to get the iPad 2 but the price is still way too much for me. I purchased this 1st version with 3G & Wifi and 64 Gb memory. This is a revolution and has nearly depleted my use of the mac at home...Not quite as large downloads and updates are still requiring wired connections to the mac. I have all 26 Gb of music, also music videos, 6 films and 3 sets of drama tv series on here too. I do all my email, downloading and browsing on the web, a busy Ebayer and also do a lot of online app work as well. Paying bills searching for holiday deals and lots more. One true marvel and essential to me.
