Picks up all the channels
This indoor aerial picks up all the digital TV channels without needing a power supply. The aerial is directional so you need to find the direction where it works best. The more 'cross-bars' that an aerial has, the better it is at picking up channels. I was concerned that with having only a few 'cross-bars', it might need a signal booster as well, but it works well without. Not quite as well as another Maxview aerial that I have on another TV, which has more cross-bars, but you can't get that one any more. I have to put this one right in the window, but I feel that it works at least as well as the flat ones, and doesn't need a built-in booster and or power supply.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Useless unless you hold it above your head.
I wanted this item to pick up a stable digital signal for a Tv in my bedroom. My current one is stable some days but I have difficulty getting signal on others. My current aerial is no more in size than a coat hanger. Was impressed with the size and look of the aerial but that is where my positive impression ends. For picking up a signal which my coat hanger can do, it picked up noting at all, bar one spot, which gave my a picture only if I held it above my head Useless, so have reverted back to the coat hanger in preference.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The best aerial for indoor use?
For over 30 years I used a wire aerial similar in design layout to this one. One day it had enough and jumped off the TV to its final end so I was in need of a replacement. I have tried several aerials claiming xyz range or crazy high / sensitive db signal pickup values. Many times you will find that the cable has to rest in a certain position and it also picks up extra 'ghost' interference signals. The bin, where they all ended up, would have made a better aerial. This one is super good, of fantastic design, stability and signal reception even without a signal booster. The cable also works well. Better than the full size Aerial in the loft. Although near Crystal Palace have interference problems. Has got back the quality of my freeview HD channels but BBC 4 news is still not perfect. Works a Treat
