NICE Bit of kit, Ignore Negative Reviews.
This IS NOT an air con by any means, however if you fill the tray with ice it lasts a while with cool air roughly about 26c in warm weather. the fan is very quiet and powerful. good for small bedrooms. Brilliant blowing over you when you sleep on fan 1 setting. the fan rotates aswell. Each fill of ice gives about an hour of cooler air, enough to cool a small bedroom down enough so you can get a decent nights sleep. EDIT: I highly recommend though you use de-ionised water, its purer and sustains cold air output. Not frozen just room temperature de-ionised water with no ice, open a window slightly and a door so air can circulate right through the room, this unit then speeds up the process and in my small bedroom its shaved 12c off the temps, and 9c off them temps off my livingroom which is quite good! mines situated in the doorway of my flat blowin inwards and exhause through the bedroom window, without this piece of science i wouldnt be able to sleep! it a really good little unit if you know how to use it properly. Because of the ultra-low running costs i highly recommend you switch it on first thing in the morning when the air is thin, this boosts the process, leave it on all day then,the room will be constantly cooler all day long as much as 18c cooler actually, now i know the science on how these work ive changed from 4 star to 5, they work REALLY WELL, but NEVER run it without water, otherwise you will kill the pump. Overall the operation even on full fan speed is quiet enough for me to sleep, and im a light sleeper, im seriously considering getting rid of my expensive to run air con unit now and replacing with another one of these.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Life Saver!
So happy I bought this! it's a little noisey but not annoyingly noisey. The ait that blows out is lovely and cold. I put big big ice cubes in the water section which makes it even colder!! love this cooler! Not sure about the humidifier as I have no reason to use it. If you looking for a Air Cooler that is cheap but well built that provides cold air then this is the one for you. Although not quiet, it's not too loud either. I have mine in my bedroom & my son says he can't hear it in the next room. It gives off a lovely breeze & has a sleep mode as well, in fact it has a lot of functions, Ionizer, fan, heater, variable speed etc. You do have to clean quite regularly or it gives off a stale smell but that is the case with most things filled with water.
