12Volt Travel Kettle
I bought this kettle as an emergency kettle to be carried in the boot of my car purely for use should I get stuck whether in traffic or due to weather conditions (Snow). Don't expect super fast boiling capabilities but it does boil water suitable for tea, coffee or insta soup. As with all devices that are electrically operated on a car's twelve volt system they will flatten the battery unless the engine is running and charging the battery. As a standby kettle for emergency situations it is ideal a hot cup of tea or even water will go a long way too keeping one's self warm. In conclusion it does everything I expect of it at a very reasonable price and I would recommend it as a standby kettle. Hope this helps you understand the kettle's usefulness. Pretty good
It all depends on what you expect from a 12v kettle. I really only boil 0.3l of water and it takes about 20mins to boil, a friend of mine has a different kettle and his takes 10mins to boil the same amount of water, so there are better ones out there. Plugged the kettle into the 12v socket, and waited patiently for it to boil. After waiting for approx 45 mins to an hour, it still hadn't reached boiling point, and was just warm.
