Big, bulky, heavy. Powers up in DC mode and can not be changed. No low-Z function. Appears to be an updated version of the old Extech 840 (which wasn't very good either). There are lots of better meters in this price range

A couple of my Fluke products took a dump on me. My Fluke 88 broke the LCD, and Fluke no longer produces a replacement (shame on Fluke), and my 80i-410 Amp Clamp pooped out (and is replaced by a different product). So, I have little brand loyalty when it comes to Fluke. The FLIR CM78 does pretty much everything my 88 and 80i-410 did in one package (except RPM). Build quality seems first rate, and accuracy seems spot on. I'm a little concerned about the 6/ AAA that power it (included), but we'll see how long they last. Included leads seem of good quality. So far, so good.
