It has a male pc sync connector on one end and a Vivitar jack on the other. Nevertheless, I have also tested these leads for fit and performance using my own Vivitar 283. Needless to say, they work fine.

  • Superb Cable Link for Vivitar!

A well made cable to attach your Vivitar flash gun to your retro camera. It links perfectly to my Yashica D camera. Well worth the pennies!

  • Adds versatility to your flash gun

The standard cord for the 283 or 283 is quite short and is really only suitable for when the flash is used on cameras with a cold shoe. This limits the range that the gun can be positioned. This extension cord enables the flash to be positioned at greater distances relative to the camera for better modelling light. If your camera permits, you can hold it in your right hand with the flash held in the left if you don't have a suitable flash bracket. Just ensure that the sensor on the flash is pointed towards the subject to ensure correct exposure.
