Device works fine, but not the advertised 0.01" resolution
The collector is fine, just a basic tipping-bucket type with a magnet and a reed switch making a brief contact closure each time the bucket tips. Seems to be well made, and it works, and came with an attached 32 foot cable with an RJ11 plug on the end. It didn't have any kind of screen to protect the opening at the bottom of the funnel. These things *always* get clogged, so I added some screen and hardware cloth at the top. That should help a lot. (See picture.) One odd thing was that that advertisement said "433 MHz", which was strange, since it doesn't have a radio in it. But it had an FCC ID printed on the case that said 433.92 MHz. Obviously they make multiple versions, and use the same case. No biggie. The real problem for me (and the only reason I only gave 3 stars) was that it was advertised as having 0.01" resolution, and I bought it because of that spec. Unfortunately, the actual resolution - rainfall for one tip of the bucket/one output pulse - is about 0.024". That value came from a series of fairly careful measurements. It was a simple software modification to account for that, but my purchase was based on that incorrect spec. That said, I expect it works as expected with the system it was designed for.
