"Dynamite" Entertainment!
As a fan of the late director William Friedkin, I had not seen this movie in years (released in 1977), a remake of Yves Montand's The Wages of Sin. This remake is every bit as tense as the original French movie. The best-known star is Roy Scheider of French Connection and Jaws fame, The beginning of the film relates how 4 men eventually meet after they had failed in their criminal exploits, one a terrorist, another a bank robber, etc. All 4 wind up in an oil-producing area in South America, that proves to be an absolute hellhole. These 4 are recruited to drive a truck carrying dynamite that is deteriorating and the slightest bump will set it off. They agree to take on this dangerous job because they want the money they earn to get out of their situation. Do they achieve their goals? That is where the movie really draws you in! I highly recommend you see this classic!
