Well made accessorie
Just got this today. Is currently seating on a Ruger AR 556. Is very well made. For those who have the same rifle as I do, because ruger has its own proprietary gas block which includes a QD mount on the gas block.... this handguard will cover that portion, however this did not stop me, the hand Huard fits well looks great, it's well made. I walked away from a very nice magpul MOE handguard to install this one. I leave in very cold weather conditions and I don't fell comfortable with the plastic getting bridle or for a prolong shooting the thing melting. For those who have a more traditional or mil specs gas tube with the slung mount on the bottom this hand guard will be even better. Item Recommended. Good job VIZM.🖒

GOOD....NERVOUS !
The handguard got to me before the ship date which was fine with me ! I already had the stock one off and tore into the box . it was exactly as I expected with more mounts than I expected which i'm not going to complain about ! (that's the "GOOD" in the title, the "NERVOUS" came when I went to install it. seems that when I put both parts together there was a gap between the halves at the front. I thought to myself, damn, figures I had the gun that it didn't fit on ! well I went on line and seen that I was installing it correctly, so I took a chance and installed the front screws and left them loose and proceeded to put the back screws on place. all I needed to do was go around the screws like I was tightening down a cylinder head. doing the "bolt pattern' method and it snugged right down into place! "NERVOUS" gone and it looks GREAT ! Awesome addition to the gun for sure.

great handguard
it was harder taking off the stock handguard than putting this one on. I really like the look and the feel - I have a handle attached to the bottom via the picatinny rail - for firing in the standing position, but I can also use place my on the handguard when I'm firing from the prone position. Just what I was looking for
I was very unsure about this product due to it's cheap price. WOW this was an amazing purchase I would recommend this hand guard to everyone that is just wanting to upgrade to a better quality. Installed this on my Ruger AR556. All attachments have been removed for pictures. Very tight fit but no problem to install. I can't say enough positive things about this guard.

Nice but some issues if you have triangular end cap
I think this is a great looking well-built handguard and I really like the looks of it on my carbine. I will say I have a triangular end cap and since the description didn't mention anything about it not working with triangular end cap, I took the risk to purchase anyway without asking. Well, it does work with a triangular end cap, but with some issues (at least on mine). 1. Once assembled, it isn't completely level with the rail on your receiver, and is raised about 1/16th high on the barrel end. Is this a problem? Maybe not but it is noticeable. 2. It isn't rock-solid tight. I think this is due to two things; one, there is no lip where the item slips into the Delta ring, so there is some play there; and two, most end caps don't end up being completely tight once iron sight is mounted, so since the front of the item rely's on clamping down on the end cap, there could be wiggle if the end cap is a tiny bit loose. With these two issues combined there is about 1/16th to 1/8th inch of "slide" front and back. I actually can imagine these wiggle issues being the same if you have round end cap. I don't think the diameter of end cap holes have a tight enough tolerance to the diameter of the barrel so there is likely wiggle no matter what. 3. I did notice that it isn't exactly straight right to left, and I haven't figured out why yet. I like the looks and feel of the item so much that I am going to attempt to make some modifications that I think will solve these problems. I'm not a perfectionist, and I like tinkering with things. Having said that, it would be nice if there was the same item available specifically for triangular end caps.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

VERY NICE & UNIQUE
