HONESTLY- I HAD to have it for my Garage Door to open but- YES A great deal BUT- IF they really wanted it to be BETTER- the Wheel- which in TIME WILL break- it,s Plastic SO- let,s see a Steel one in the Future. Cheap Item; Numerous Replacements.
Why Craftsman created a plastic pulley to be the support system for metal cabling was stupid indeed. I have had to replace this item 3 times in the almost three years I've owned this garage opener. I refuse to call Sears again to fix it and charge me another ridiculous labor fee, now that YouTube is the world's "How To Instructional Video Resource". I'm sure I will figure it out. As mentioned in an earlier review, I will need to keep a few of these pullies on standby for replacement, since it seems to break every 8 months to a year. Great product, exact replacement.
Not much more to say than that is works just like the original one that came with the garage door opener. This is actually my 3rd one since my bother managed to break the first one and then some how the lock locked by itself and caused the door to bind a little and snapped this pulley as well. adequate construction, but metal would be much better.

Garage door pulley stop working
Very good product original design. Fit perfectly thank you guys you have saved me a lot of money. The garage door company wanted 125 dollars just to go see what was broken with my garage door so I decided to inspect it myself; found out the the pulley was causing door opener not to work. Plastic wheel
It was made of real thin plastic compared to my original one . The second time I opened the garage door it split down the middle in the groove that the cable runs on . I had an older but smaller wheel that I didn’t want to use . But I took a link out of the chasin and was able to make it work . Poor engineering. Pulley is weak for the work it has to do. It's a good idea to keep extras on hand. This pulley will fail over time, but it is the only replacement part for this rail system. They are fairly inexpensive and easily replaced,Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
