Adjustability, robust, lightweight
Well of course I bought the B-stock which meant there was cosmetic damage (scratches) but in fact one of the bolts holding one of the legs was loose and the probable reason for that was the factory had over tightened it and damaged the thread in the nut and bolt; the consequence of machine tightening. So I re-tapped the thread (I have taps and dies) and got another bolt out of my bits box which fitted perfectly, sorted. I guess if you are not 'handy' with tools it might be a problem but to anyone who is DIY reasonable it won't be. The important thing with this stand is adjustability and this stand adjusts finely (not just some bar with holes in it). It's quick to set that up and no tools required. That's a critical adjustment of the height because it has to be just right when you play sitting down. If you get the piano height adjustment wrong it will alter your arm elevation and wrist position and give you serious problems eventually. I always use vinyl padding taken from thick garden knee pads which the keyboard will rest on and fits in the pocket of my Fusion bag. You always have to make compromises over weight and robustness cos you need both for a gigging situation, you need to carry it and it has to stand up to gig-wear-'n'-tear. It will take the weight on my Casio Privia PX-5S which is 11kg (24lb) which is light in the scheme of things and I could have got away with single braced but when you spend on a keyboard you need to be sure it will take the weight which double braced and 11kg it will. So I'm very happy with it, and cosmetic damage is irrelevant to me.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
