ENDLESS EXCITING POSSIBILITES!!
A longtime vegetarian, I refuse to give up Tacos!! Along with numerous other recipes; this TVP is by far the best I have ever had for all my meatless meals, and often combine it with cooked lentils. Great texture and perfect size! ( I reconstitute it with hot chicken or tomato chicken broth to enhance the flavor). Delicious in my eggrolls, lasagna, and made great "meatballs" and burgers, even "meatloaf" using this as a base. HIGHLY recommend!! Very good substitute
An excellent meat substitute. Has good protein value. I usually soak it in a bit of vegetable broth (a little time in the microwave will soften it quickly.) I have used it in a variety of dishes (soup, chili, spaghetti sauce) with excellent results. It is even ok spread on a sandwich with vegan mayo. It makes me not miss meat at all.
