Vortex Defender-Scope Protector
I do happen to own a Vortex scope which is what this was placed onto. My original idea was looking for much more expensive scope caps, not even knowing that Vortex had their own models. I purchased it after reading the details of it hoping that it would have an accurate write-up. After receiving and placing it on the scope I realized it met all my needs perfectly. It fits extremely well, snaps in place when closed and offers two positions when opened, straight up as well as almost parallel. I purchased the same model for the objective lens side as well. I don’t know how the covers would fair in battle type situations, but I can tell that it will last a long time for my needs. Good but not Great!
Overall, they work, but they could work a little better on the ocular side...... problem is they change position when opening requiring 2 hands to open. One to hold the cap and the other to open it. There is a great warranty through Vortex even though I have not used it (yet). Loose rubber
The eye cap locks down very well...The rubber does not have enough grip so, you have to hold it when opening the flip up led or it wants to pull off the scope. Fits standard vortex scope. Not the best on Viper pst gen 1
I like this scope flip cap for the most part. The only complaint it the rubber edge hits the battery housing on the Viper pst gen I 6-24x50 eyepiece. Otherwise fits my other Viper scopes perfectly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Perfect for my scope

Does NOT fit perfect
As you will notice, each cover has a wide size range. If your size is on the lower end of the range, it will fit loose. I prefer the Butler Creeps covers that have a more exact fit. Good quality but the fit is not satisfactory.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Doesn't fit well on Vortex Viper PST 1-4
While it goes on easily, it also fits the Viper loosely and slides off easily, even thought Vortex lists this as the one to get for the Viper. Got a Butler Creek that fits better. Maybe the Vortex cover fits other scopes better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
