Replacement link belt for Myford ML7
Link belts are great for Myford lathes as you don't have to disturb the headstock bearings to replace a belt. Fitting is easy once you get the idea of the link end twisting to undo. ( 2 links must be undone to separate the belt.) Plenty of spare links in the belt length supplied. I had to take out a further couple of links to gain a good fit after running for a while. The belt initially made a clicking noise, when running, so I turned it round, changing the direction of link movement. No clicking! Some Myford users release the belt tension to stop the chuck. With this belt, there can be squeals as it slips. These may go as the belt wears in to match the pulleys on my circa '49 ML7, but it is too early to tell as yet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

HOLBROOK C8. I tried the leather bolted link belt type and my problem is close tolerance so that type didn't fit and needed modifying. Once oil got on them they failed. These link type fit straight in no problem, just seem a bit slippy so need to be very tight. How long they last is anyone's guess. I will soon find outVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

I needed to adjust length more than once during an upgrade and did not wish to dismantle the headstock each time so this belt was ideally suited to the task.
